Im not to familiar with Aviemore, but there are some trails at Burnside on the edge of Aviemore, beside a new housing esate that is getting built.

we rode 4x like twice between 10 and 11 lol done world cup track 4 times and a new red we were gona push up but then decided we wanted to go to laggan instead

it opend at 11 then shut at 3 we ended up at laggan lol we got 5 runs in though with my arm aacting up so i should of went to inners or sumin eh lol

allright hows it going your lucky you didnt come to fort bill 45 mph winds my mates bike got blown out from underneith him my bike was holding onto the gondila sideways by an inch of its seat i think going to glentress would of been a better idea lol

Probably the closest place is the DH-Track in Chur itself, it's called "Brambrüesch" but I have no idea where to hire a bike there!
I'd recommend Flims/Laax as you can go there easily by bus and hire a bike directly at the station, the shop's called boarders world. To Lenzerheide you can also go by bus, but I don't think you can rent a bike there... There's a train going directly to arosa, which is also a fun place to ride.
The best would probably be if you find a shop in Chur where you can hire a bike for a few days but I really don't know where you could do that! If you don't find a shop you still have to go to Laax, it's probably the most fun track there in the Chur area.

Hey Andy!
There are some spots to ride near Chur, you already know Flims/Laax, you can rent a bike directly at the liftstation (they have commencal)
An other place would be Arosa, you can also rent bikes there (the shop's called Arosa-bike)
Lenzerheide is also a nice spot to ride, but I don't know if you can rent a bike there. The "Trek Bike Attack" race will be in Lenzerheide in the beginning of August.
These are mainly Freeride Trails, in Chur City is also a DH trail from the mountain "Brambrüesch" but I have never been there to ride.
